Summary: Appukuttan (Mohanlal) hospitalizes a rich heiress, Chandra (Sukanya), who was involved in an accident & gets mistaken for her husband Alfie. Desperate to raise cash to save his dad who is caught in a peculation suit & realizing that his only chance to get some money is to act as her husband, Appukuttan acts as her husband at the hospital in front of Chandra's family, & his illiterate fruit juice vendor friend Noor (Sreenivasan) acts as Alfie at Chandra's father Varma (Nedumudi Venu)'s office.
