Good western with Chuck Bronson and Jack Palance that flew under most people's radars.

"Back off, Lawman." Damn, Bronson is too cool for words. Here he plays Chato, a half-breed Apache on the run for killing a sheriff. Jack Palance plays the ruthless ex-soldier leading the posse trying to track him down. Some great scenes and excellent cat-and-mouse as Bronson toys with the posse before leading them into the desert. Classic western, Bronson literally has about 4 lines.

After a half-native-American (Bronson) kills a bullying town sheriff in self-defense, a mob led by a civil war veteran (Palance) is sent after him. This premise is very ordinary for a Western, but this is no ordinary Western. It's well directed and features excellent performances, but most atypically it's exceptionally well written.
