Surprisingly entertaining WW2 programmer starring the pre-Laura Tierney as a Eurasian Vassar girl and George Montgomery, the best of the Clark Gable clones, as a war photographer determined to get pictures of the Burma Road. Of course it goes heavy on the anti-Japanese propaganda, but the brisk Ben Hecht screenplay sparkles, allowing an excellent supporting cast of Sig Ruman, Lynn Bari, Victor McLaglen, and cute little eight-year-old Robert Blake to shine.
