Summary: Vijayan (Sreenivasan), a school teacher, believes that his Economics degree is enough for him to succeed in business. Taking long leaves from work, he roams around with his business schemes, all of which turn out to be failures. Karunan (Thilakan), Vijayan's father, as a last resort to reform his son, asks him to make a pilgrimage to Sabarimala. Despite his initial protests, Vijayan makes the pilgrimage.
