Slow film, weak ending, but it had Julianne Moore and Amanda Seyfried totally nude making out/having sex! Do not miss this film!!!

Obsessions, obsessions. The actors are the good thng here. I kind of expected something different from Egoyan but he still is fascinated about psychology which is very nice.

Terrible ending, but the rest of the film was good. But I have always loved Julianne Moore, and her with Amanda Seyfried was even better than could be hoped. Oh, Liam Neeson was good too, as always.

Moore and Neeson give the performances you would expect from such talents, and Seyfried certainly has a captivatingly beautiful big pair of.. eyes, but you wonder why any of them have signed up to appear in such dated rubbish. Terribly written and all too predictable, you wouldn't be at all surprised if you found out this was a script that had been passed on numerous times during the femme fatale peak of the mid-'80s. Seyfried's boobs are easily the most memorable thing in the entire picture.

I'm given props to a few things. The trio of actors (I think Moore gives the best performance, really.. but she's pretty underrated in general), and the music. There are some really inspired scenes, and the movie never bored me. I felt that some scenes were a little silly and I didn't really like the ending. But it does do a good job mostly at examining these characters. I flip flopped on 65 (pretty high end good) or 70 (very good). Some moments of weakness but all in all, good stuff.

I really liked both Moore and Seyfried in this. Entirely too little ta-ta display, sadly, but it has good performances and some strong scenes.

"Fatal Attraction" dressed up as a classy character study. Great acting, but it's basically too formulaic and salacious to be taken seriously.

At least the sex scene should have been hot! Perhaps that could have made me forget the ridicolous ending. Typical example of how someone talented like Egoyan should not sell his soul for pocket money in Hollywood.

For the first two-thirds, Egoyan's film has the makings of a masterpiece, weaving a fascinating, original and intriguing story involving seduction and desire, and utilising two superb performances from Moore and (especially) Seyfried (Neeson while reliably good, has something of a thankless role). Unfortunately the climax is somewhat conventional and arbitrary (though it's a puzzle as to how the intrigue established in the earlier scenes could be resolved satisfactorily).

'Chloe' could be a good thriller, but never gets into a good rhythm to allow it. The confrontation with David never really comes to fruition. Catherine's relationship with Michael feels unnatural. The score is overbearing and when the dialogue doesn't make it feel like a cheap porno, it feels like a bad tourism ad for the city of Toronto. The plot twist makes it come together, but the pacing still feels odd, never really letting the tension build at the right moments. The ending adds to that.

There's several solid acting, I liked. I also liked, though predictable, story which led wrong most female viewers. Unfortunately the conclusion of the story was so anti-climatic that it dropped the most of good score. Acting in the end was also pretty let down, kind of run through to close the case. Follows the storyline of French Nathalie...

Julianne Moore gives an excellent performance in this drama. One part of the plot is predictable but in general the story is interesting. If you are a fan of the director Atom Egoyan you should check this one out.

Covers well worn territory with its predictable story about a deceitful character wreaking havoc on a family. The only thing I can say impressed me about this was Moore's performance, which made her character the only one I had any interest in. And what an atrocious ending; talk about a flagrant case of "hmm, what do we do now?" screen writing.

The script of the movie is very weak. The director tries weave the element of a thriller into the movie but fails at it. The movie is predictable mostly with an unexplainable ending. The movie could have been made much better had the script been stronger though the premise of the movie is interesting. The performance by the lead actors is good.

Much better than I expected, given how it was marketed as some sort of sexual thriller. It's actually a very well written sexual drama with pitch perfect delivery by the actors in every scene.

A smart but ultimately hollow study of anger and guilt in a middle-aged married couple. The plot is engaging enough but the downfall is its unsympathetic, greedy characters. The acting is decent enough, the Toronto setting is used well, and buildup of tension is nicely paced. But with a silly ending it falls short of greatness. Much better than Deception but not as good as Unfaithful.
