Complete nonsense. The only good thing is the fight scenes. Each battle is an homage to another legendary martial arts star! The outtakes during the credits are even more bone crushing than the actual movie.

This film was just amazing in every way. The story is gripping, the telling leaving you feeling what they feel. The background, the premise, the martial arts, stunts make many HK films look weak. A bit slow to start, with the backstory; but once it gets going it's a never ending ride

How the team behind "Warrior King", the best martial arts movie of all time, lowered themselves to THIS, I'll never know. It's nice to see such a talented female lead in a film like this but Yanin can't save "Chocolate" from being incredibly dull. It is worth a watch however for the incredible finale which I believe lasts for a whole 20/30 minutes.

It's Thai, meaning old school martial arts movie rules: no doubles, no wires, no safety. The action is superb, violent, and most of all, unflinchingly real. The story isn't anything to oogle about, but it's not terrible, despite some cheesiness. Watch for action, you action junkie.

This is such a weird film. I really enjoyed it; there were good martial arts scenes (some botchamania looks to have made it in, ouch!), a unique story that makes you go WTF, and overall a good sense of character growth and development. Even though the lead is autistic, it handles the condition in an intriguing way that isn't condescending at all. Actually, it probably might give you an idea to raise some kind of army for yourself. This was fun.

Okay, so the action is pretty cool, but it's not good enough to change the fact that every time people aren't fighting in this movie (aka, the first thirty minutes and still quite a bit afterwards), this movie is a fuckin turd. Utter nonsense. Score is not a grade.

Not as good as Ong-Bak but few things are. I like how hey tried to imitate other performances in kung-fu films. The "ooOO-Aaahs" after each blow in the ice factory fight for example. Plot ain't much but when is it ever.

80 of these points goes to the action in this movie, which is absurd, and the best thing ever. There's a better cut of this movie somewhere which is just this girl kicking the a, b, and the rest of the alphabet-jesus out of people.

The action scenes are fairly impressive, but the acting is poor, the non-fight special effects absolutely diabolical, and the plot one of the most muddled I've ever seen. Similarly, why does the script call for certain random lines to be in English, when the actors obviously struggle with the language and it has no relevance to the plot? All in all, it makes for a poorly-developed viewing experience that is almost guaranteed to leave you unsatisfied (but not necessarily wanting more).

Action packed, fight scenes galore! The story and acting aren't top notch, but martial arts movies are not known for that. JeeJa Yanin, however, does give a great performance and I can't wait to see her in action again.

An autistic girl learns marshal arts from movies and then goes to collect money for her mom who has cancer or something. I think her mom used to be in a gang? Whatever, the action is really cool(she does all her own stunts, of course) and it gets bonus points for having a female lead.

From the director of Ong Bak and starring a new 23 year old female action protege that has the same fierceness and commanding presence that Tony Jaa had in ONG BAK, CHOCOLATE is just an ass kicking good time. After a slow first half hour and a weak story, the film kicked it into top gear with its insane stunts and strong fight choreography. Fight fans rejoice, pick this one up!

The first 35 minutes is painful, soap opera level nonsense. It does get better once the stunts get crazier, with an incredible (almost video game-like) finale. Still, too much melodrama that sucks away the sense of fun. And I was unsure whether to laugh or feel ashamed at seeing a fight between two more or less mentally handicapped characters near the end.

Every single one of the 76 points I award is for the fighting skills and stunt abilities of JeeJa Yanin. Most other aspects of this film - the acting, the story, the flashbacks, the visuals - were appalling and quite painful to watch. Prachya Pinkaew took a big step backwards in his career following Ong Bak, which was solid on most levels. Great fights though!

"Chocolate" is the Thai version of "The Transporter", essentially. Much like "Ong-Bak", the story has little to no purpose in the film, instead focusing on the incredible fight choreography. The martial artistry is unlike anything you've seen before, unless you've seen "Ong-Bak", but it's not worth sitting through the cringe-inducingly bad story. It's almost insulting how bad it is. I would rather that they outright steal the story from "Bloodsport" for the sake of showing of the fighting.
