I have very mixed feelings about this. The part about 'niggers' is one of the better routines I have seen, but there are parts I found distasteful and dumb.

Amusing hour of stand-up that doesn't quite hit enough high notes to be a keeper. The section on 'blacks vs. niggers' is certainly memorable, but Rock's overly-squeaky delivery throughout means you have to strain your ears at times to work out exactly what he's saying.

While Rock is without a doubt both extremely funny and in touch with American culture, the angry young black guy routine starts to grate after a while. The laughs are there, certainly, but there are comics with better delivery and more enjoyable stage presence.

"'We won! We won! We won!' What the FUCK did we win?"

Nobody is more incisive about America than Rock in his prime. This works better as an audio album than a film, though.

Brilliant, daring, acerbic, and socially relevant humor.

I was dying laughing at some parts. Other parts were the same old stand-up you can hear anywhere.
