Summary: Though Eddie's fired right at Christmastime, his boss sends him and his family on a South Pacific vacation, hoping Eddie won't sue him after being bitten by a lab monkey. Compared to the other Vacation films it's a hot mess, and as a film on it's own it's pretty much that too, and while it certainly made me laugh a few times it was for the wrong reasons. Randy Quaid takes Chevy's place as the leading man, and he does a decent job, but it's the terrible storyline and over the top slapstick comedy that made it painful to watch. Having said all that it's obvious making it they weren't after any Oscar awards so I'm not surprised it was as bad as it turned out to be!
