This film has the odd moment but they are very rare and don't stop this from being a sub-standard festive movie... Even the comedy talents of both Tim Allen and Dan Aykroyd can't help this film

That beautiful Christmas spirit among a tightly knit suburban neighborhood except that bullying people to be more materialistic during the festive season isn't exactly very goodwilled. The entire community seems unnatural with the Christmas spirit rather rammed down your throat. Unlike most I found Tim Allen's sitcom style delivery one of the few enjoyable aspects.

Over the top, this movie partly stands in the tradition of the Griswold-movies with Chevy Chase. Who liked these may have fun with this one here as well, at least for the first half. During the second half, the film unfortunately loses its viciousness and becomes clichéd and stereotype. Pity.
