Absolutely awful! In which Kevin Bacon's nephew meets Harry Belafonte's gay wired nephew. James Earl Jones and Robby Benson fax in their performances (not that I blame them). By far the best moment of this movie was the 10 seconds or so when Little Richard sang "Rip It Up" (also those two white-masked guys accompanying Belafonte). Oh yeah, and Kevin Loud makes a rare cameo. Apparently the plot will be made manifest...15 years from now. Only approach this thing with Joel & the crew at your side.

Whatever possessed Lipstadt to follow up his fun _Android_ with this bleak and depressing postapocalyptic crap? An interesting cast is pretty much wasted in useless roles; Benson spends all his screen time sitting behind a desk in a room that looks like the manager's office at the local K-Mart. Jones's phone book commercials provide him with more dignity.
