A GREAT cult film. Played straight yet cathartically over-the-top, there r some laughs 2 b had at the cartoonish excess; but there's also some disturbingly prescient scenarios & legit social commentary. Brilliantly paced, exposition exists only long enough 2 establish character b4 quickly launching in2 some kind of showdown or act of gratuitous violence/T&A. Most amazing is how Van Patten's villain displays a wily, yet anarchic "just b/c" savagery that easily could've inspired Ledger's Joker.

Really cheesy exploitation film that basically has a plot setup to make you absolutely hate the antagonists and want to see them get offed. The poor acting, ridiculous violence, and seeing a teacher go unhinged all make for great entertainment. It also has Michael J. Fox acting as himself.

i first saw this movie in 1983 and thought it was just incredibly fun...I mean you have Michael J Fox in a what 15 min role and gets top billing...he was the worst part of the movie...Timothy as Stegman and Perry King as the teacher..this movie is really a cult classic...its a school bully harassing teacher kinda fun movie

Timothy Van Patten (of all people) is so evil--it's tremendous! And I used to think it was his nephew Vincent (which would've been eviler still). Then there's Michael J Fox, still wearing his baby fat. And Roddy McDowall hitting the sauce and totally losing his mind.
