There's some amazing concert footage in here, and some of the footage is really exciting. But it seems like at times there's a whole lot of nothing going on here. It's controversy exceeds the offending scenes. Or maybe I'm just desensitized. Regardless, an interesting watch and worth a look. The Stevie Wonder collab is also a must-see.

Infamous documentary of the Rolling Stones 1972 U.S. tour. The group was cresting, nearing the end of an incredible period of creativity. The concert footage is amazing and vibrant, and the behind-the-scenes stuff is alternately no-holds-barred "dirt" (orgies, shooting up or snorting drugs) or drab boredom (pointless conversations with room service, zonking out in front of the tv). It's an essential rock and roll document.

Interesting only in that it shows how boring and full of ennui the lifestyle that so many aspire towards can actually be.
