I've never smoked and I hate coffee which might explain why I didn't "get" this movie. There are only a few notable vignettes (Tom Waits meeting Iggy Pop and Bill Murray with RZA and GZA are the two best). Most of the time I found myself bored and wanting the movie to end. I wouldn't tell people not to see it as I know many people who love this movie, but it really wasn't my thing.

I liked it a lot, it is like a movie version of Absurd Theatre of twentieth century, ones who are interested in existentialism will like it.

Tom and iggys scene is the best!

GZA, RZA and Bill Murray was about all i got out of this.

Some of the stories are really good, but some of them aren't and it gets a little disjointed.

Some really vignettes work, others don't. I like the ones with Cate Blanchett and the Steve Coogan/Alfred Molina sketch.

no one does the dead pan better than the maestro jarmusch

There are maybe 4 or 5 shorts that I really like, with the highlight being Gza and Rza (because Rza does no wrong). A couple are only okay but worth watching and some bore me. So judging by that... this movie is worth seeing and while I enjoy the black and white motif and the idea, it doesn't reach greatness (or even come that close) like I had expected.

part great, part pointless. not one of Jarmusch's best, but worth the while for anyone who considers himself a fan and had not seen it yet. the celeb Cameos make it more interesting, especially for fans of White Stripes, Iggy Pop and Tom Waits
