Summary: Outlaw Wes McQueen is sprung from jail to help pull one last railroad job. He doesn't like his new partners - except dance-hall girl Colorado - and anyway fancies Julie Ann newly arrived from the east to set up home with her father. Maybe time to get out. Unfortunately he also has a $10,000 reward on his head, dead or alive. (imdb)

Quite a well-made western, with a memorable final act.

Raoul Walsh remakes his own _High Sierra_ as a Western. It just ain't as good the second time around, and the third version (yes, they did a third) _I Died A Thousand Times_ is even worse

An interesting Western re-make of High Sierra. Joel McCrea exhibits a great range than usual, and Virginia Mayo gives one of her best performances as Colorado Carson, a "bad" girl a man can depend on.
