Summary: Comata loves Clear Eyes, but she is seduced by a cowboy and goes to live with him, eventually having his baby. Comata discovers the cowboy courting Nellie, a white woman. He brings the baby to Nellie as proof of the cowboy's perfidy. At first the cowboy denies everything, but once brought together with Clear Eyes and the child, he admits it all, and loses both women.
