As a director, Dolph Lundgren is quite confident and technically skilled. If this by itself is the best he can do however though, his aspirations of action cinema are pretty low, rehashing Die Hard but with nothing interesting to it except for the Russian location and politics. You think a man whose career includes playing an android, demented killer priest in Johnny Mnemonic, and his history with the Rocky films, would have a far more interesting perspective on trashy action cinema.

Cheap Die Hard ripoff. That isn't necessarily a bad thing by itself. But Dolph The Auteur Lundgren seems to be more interested in making a movie about how awesome he is, than making a solid entertainment flick for b-action movie fans. Funniest thing in movie - Dolph STABS someone with GUITAR, and smashes in a few faces with his fists. And then goes telling he won't use guns, because 'guns kill people'. It's you, Dolph, it's you...
