It's clearly not an objective portrayal of Confucius, however, it is inspiring nonetheless.

It unfortunate that movie that is this gorgeous to look at had to be absolutely ruined by a convoluted plot and horrible acting. I wouldn't waste my time watching this if I were you.

I believe Mei Hu's got a plenty funding from the Chinese State for this epoch and it's visible. The film is stunning in many scenes, but the story failed to impress anyhow. It's confusing and shattered. I was interested of what Confucius has to offer rather than to see how he's in exile and suffer for food. All jesuses went through the same agony before they were idolized. Though the multiple CG visuals did not give much new for what we've seen before during big battle fields.

Bad. A confusing Chinese State sponsored look at one of history's greatest thinkers. This is sub par in every department. Enough said. Avoid.
