Summary: Earth's Moon is ripped from orbit by a massive nuclear explosion and cast adrift in deep space. It is displaced further into the unknown by two space warps and into range of the volcanic planet Psychon, where the crew of Moonbase Alpha hope to obtain a mineral needed for their survival. But they are lured into a trap by Mentor of Psychon, who wants to drain their souls into a machine for energy needed to transform Psychon back to the paradise it once was... (imdb)

Manages to edge out Riding With Death as the worst "movie" made from two obviously pasted together episodes of a crappy 70's sci-fi show. Impressive.

The pilot episode for Space 1999 season two is turned into a so so wreck by producers Gerry Anderson and Fred Freiberger (though whether they had a hand in this Movie length mess is debatable) who clearly should've known better. Fans of the TV show forever debate which is better, season one or two. Having just purchased the entire show on DVD I prefer season one. Syliva Anderson's influence is not there in two and I strongly feel it's needed
