As expected, most of the film is pretentious back-and-forth about creative writing (which has to be about sex, apparently). And while the film never really goes anywhere, both in terms of the plot and in comparison to any other movie about "creator and his muse" and "art imitating life", it has its fair share of clever moments which keep it afloat, albeit barely.
