Kind of convoluted and silly, but it's weird enough to enjoy. Kisnki plays it pretty straight and doesn't display much of his talent (plus he's dubbed by some random guy) but his presence is still welcome. There's a re-cut version called THE BLOODY DEAD that basically adds some blood 'n' guts into the mix, and features weird scenes involving some cannibalistic inmates. I haven't watched all of that version but it's kind of pointless.
