Summary: Given incredible power by an ancient Celtic Cross. Callan continues to fight evil... Now, joined by a team of weapons experts, Callan battles an unstoppable empire in Los Angeles. (imdb)
Just to start with what I thought was good; there are a few good actors in the movie... the bad; poor acting, poor script, poor filming and poor movie!
Hahaha so bad. I'll start with the good: Even though Vinnie Jones is in a lot of terrible movies, I still like the guy. The bad... everything else. At first I thought this was going to be a comedic take on comic books, so that was fine... but the movie is trying to be serious (minus a few jokes here and there). It tries to be stylish but looks cheap, the action is boring, the acting is mostly piss poor and it's just shit in general.
When a film starts, it doesn't take very long to get a feel for its production values. There are subtle clues that you pick up on. Do the actors look a bit confused, or do they look like they're being watched? Are the camera shots always quite tight? Does the tone of every scene feel different, somehow disconnected from the rest of the film? If you answer Yes to these, then you are dealing with a low budget made-for-tv or straight to dvd film. And you are also dealing with Cross, a bad film.
Proof that even once-famous actors sometimes have to swallow their pride and be wage slaves like the rest of us, although I doubt there was much money to be had here. A complete mess with a piss-poor story seemingly shot in one warehouse. There's a legion of forgettable heroes like Sniper, the sniper who doesn't snipe anyone and ... I've forgotten the 30 others. Avoid at all costs.
