I wish I could get this movie out of my head, but sometimes, shook up old ladies get cut.

Everything that might be said about this Waters extravaganza was, or could have been, said already about his Hairspray. Both the good and the bad, albeit the good here is a little less good and the bad a little worse. The color occasionally puts up (but doesn't keep up) a pretty good approximation of 1950s Technicolor (but why is the Universal Pictures logo at the outset not the color one of the Fifties but a black-and-white one of the Thirties?).

Kitsch celebration of the early 60s that soon grows tedious.

A damn fun, energetic film, with both great musical numbers and plenty of laughs. Depp's performance is great, but really, the minor characters shine the most here; all of them are hilarious, unique, and never pushed to the background. Definitely my favorite John Waters movie.

Could be one of Depp's best, most artistic and bravest films and that is saying a lot as his films are consistent in all departments.

Man, what were they on? This might have the highest wackiness/minute index of all time. It was not great overall; but there were so many moments that were genuinely bizarre it was very enjoyable. My favourite line "My dad was the alphabet bomber , they torched him and my poor ma , she couldn't even spell, but they torched her anyway too"

Crazy movie! Fun at times, but also very kitsch (not always in a bad way).

While still absurd and over the top it's more wacky and lovable than Water's normally wicked sense of humor. Still in and of itself a fun film with a rocking soundtrack and overall great performances by Amy Locane, Traci Lords and the beguiling Kim McGuire.

A typically cute John Waters flick, although the campiness is quite graceless.

not my style but i watched it for the sake of Depp.At least it worth watching.Not a waste of time.
