Maybe not the worst, but definitely one of the most forgettable and cliche zombie films.

Full of gore and humor, a typical zombie flick.

A fun zombie film that may be extremley corny but still very entertaining to watch :) Sure compared to the great zombie films by Romero it might seem silly, but I was very entertained with a good storyline and a good crop of likeable high school characters. Some cool death scenes and the right amount of blood & guts also did well for the film. On the downside however it was silly and a bit over the top at times, and falls into that category of Horror films that are funny for the wrong reasons.

Born into the shadow of Return of the Living Dead, Dance of the Dead transplants Dan O'Bannon's forward-thinking tropes and themes to a prom setting, banking on borrowed zombie-film goods in lieu of actual innovation. The film isn't without its moments but by now these devices are shopworn and banal, no matter how quirky and hip its assorted cast contrive to make them. Celebration of such pointlessness detracts from appreciation of worthy B-horrors like Splinter, The Strangers and Murder Party.

Definitely worth a few laughs. The first half is a little slow, but it picks up and there are some really funny bits in there. Good soundtrack, too.

Surprisingly decent. Dance doesn't exactly reinvent the genre, but it's got a good balance of humour and action, an actual set of characters rather than just a bunch of people to kill off, a punk band covering Fleetwood Mac, and plenty of just-subtle-enough little nods to its predecessors ("them sumbitches ate my dog!")

Maybe not something you'll treasure for years to come as a modern cult classic, but not exactly a bad time. There's plenty of funny little gags and pop culture references to make your (probable) one viewing (left the Chiller channel on, forgot where you left the remote, too stoned to look for it) enjoyable. The redneck guy was pretty cool, played by the dude from The Signal having way too much fun.

Dance of the Dead winds up on the wrong side of forettable for me. It's pretty derivative with the only originality coming from parts of the concept, which itself borrows heavily from plenty of successful films before it. With nothing to add and less to say, the movie stands alone as "just another zombie movie."

An American attempt at "Shaun of the Dead" by combining the zombie and teen comedy genre. Unfortunately, both of those aspects of the movie were mediocre. Zombies were somewhat inconsistent - sometimes the walking type, sometimes running, sometimes driving cars. Sure, there were a couple of decent jokes, and while I'm certain it was better than a lot of non-mainstream zombie movies, I was left feeling unsatisfied, like a zombie who found itself in a wax museum.

Carries the light-heartedness that makes great zombie movies as well as having a relatively good plot, acting, direction, etc. without bordering too much on the side of cheese that some zombie movies do. over all a excellent effort, but not the effervescent over-the-top gruesome, but terrifying gore-fest that would have made it superior.

Only a rip-off Jonny Depp look-a-like's music can calm the horde! This was...pretty meh. Plus, a nerdy virgin zombie gets it on in a bathroom stall with a cheerleader zombie? And then they eat each other...Bahaha! Silly movie, zombies don't eat each other! Or else a zombie scare would be rendered pointless. We'd just sit back with some popcorn and watch them scarf down.

This movie is the child of a zombie film and a teen comedy. Really a diamond in the rough, one of the better zombie films made lately. There is a story but it doesn't take itself too seriously. It is a lot of ridiculous fun!

I had to say, it was a cute film; not a great film, and by no means cohesive, but it was cute. If you see the film in HD, you'll notice it's actually quite richly photographed, but the effects (particularly the makeup) sometimes are dumb. I like the film for being silly, and it's hardly the worst thing one could see, but it's just mainly a movie for giggles.
