Top notch, top 'o th' mornin' rendition of classic Irish folktales is not for those with an impatience for the subtleties of blarney and fantasy, but a delight for all else. The quality of this film provides yet another sharp contrast between what Walt Disney the man was capable of, and what the Walt Disney Company has descended to in the decades since the man's death.

An overlooked treasure from Walt Disney that integrates the real world with fantasy seamlessly. Not only unabashedly fun but darn right spooky at times. This blend of down to earth fantasy, entertainment and thrills is a dynamic mix rarely matched by other films. Highly Recommended.

Horribly stereotypical and filled to the brim with clichés, but still a fun family movie.

A simple, but amusing story of an old man trying to outwit his own hallucinations. Not bad special effects; a frightening banshee, a hobbit and a Sean Connery that actually looks young.

Probably more fascinating than it should be because of Sean Connery's age. His love interest is absolutely terrible as an actress, but the real treat is the relationship between Darby himself and the king of the little people in question.
