Summary: Tells the story of a city girl who moves to a small town and becomes entangled in a love triangle between her high school teacher and a stoner classmate. (imdb)
I watched this intoxicated with a bunch of other intoxicated people which probably increased how much I enjoyed it. Who cares though, it was interesting, had style and held my attention all the way through.
Extremely forgettable. I like Kat Dennings and all, but this film had a lot of weird developments and side plots that are too hazy for me to recount at this point (I saw this movie about 4 months ago) Very indie movie. Some people will get what I mean when I say that.
Thanks Obby! :) I appreciated this movie as a story of a young girl who has no idea what she wants, but, it WAS all over the place. Seducing her teacher was all about challenging herself out of boredom. But then, she finds she wants something normal for a girl her age. Just so happens that her teacher's a mental patient who breaks down when she breaks up with him, aaand there's a serial killer and an industrial fire. Which I think is a shot at symbolism, but... I dunno. You should see it though!
It kind of flip flops around. Like, the plot is all over the place. There's a serial killer, but there's a love triangle, and there's young love, and etc. I don't think the serial killer thing was AT ALL necessary, luckily it doesn't take a whole lot of time. When it settles down, it tackles a subject well enough but it needed tighter writing. The performances were good and the music was good, but the mish mash of stuff didn't always work. Still, it's entertaining.
