Uneven, probably in part because of being incomplete. I found the chase scene in the second half pretty funny, the rest is ok but doesn't really work.

This is a great short. Lots of funny gags and general situation comedy. Throughout everything I still wanted Keaton to end up with the girl but alas it wasn't meant to be. The rating would've been higher if not so much of the film was missing.

The best stuff he'd already done better before.

Has numerous missing sequences that punctuate the short in many spots, and with a small run time in the first place, it's an unrecoverable deficit. None of the gags are really that good, and it really has no cohesion.

Not only not funny but depressing as well

Trying to fit an anthology format into a two-reeler feels about as scattershot as you'd expect, but it's still decent enough.

Again, not his best, but it was amusing all the same.

Mostly bereft of truly inspired slapstick humor except for one particular sequence involving a riverboat propeller. Pretty downbeat too.

Not too funny, but unfortunate that it survives in an incomplete, unrestored print.

Highlights: Walking around New York City dressed as a Roman; stuck on a steamboat wheel. (Lowlight: yet another police chase in a NYC bereft of any pedestrians.)

Day Dreams estreava há 100 anos nos EUA. Incompleto, mas com stunts geniais e um final bem melancólico, tenho certeza que a cena de perseguição dos policiais foi a inspiração para o final de The Blues Brothers. Box OP Buster Keaton.

There are two major types of Keaton's short films: first type is where he gets in trouble and gets chased by the big guy, second type is where he gets in trouble and gets chased by the police force. This film is of the later type, and i have to admit, that this time it is really unimaginative. Mostly same gags and tricks.

18 minutes of Keaton clowning around is welcome any day of the week, and he pulls off some pretty cool stunts along the way before winding up in that picture prefect predicament of being stuck in a riverboat wheel. He's lithe and lively, it all wraps up with a viciously dark joke that I didn't see coming and totally loved.
