Uneven, probably in part because of being incomplete. I found the chase scene in the second half pretty funny, the rest is ok but doesn't really work.

It's a bit morbid, but I actually like that about it. Keaton keeps on failing, and ends up having to kill himself in the end. Painfully funny.

Again, not his best, but it was amusing all the same.

has numerous missing sequences that punctuate the short in many spots, and with a small run time in the first place it's an unrecoverable deficit. none of the gags are really that good, and it really has no cohesion.

Not only not funny but depressing as well

There are two major types of Keaton's short films: first type is where he gets in trouble and gets chased by the big guy, second type is where he gets in trouble and gets chased by the police force. This film is of the later type, and i have to admit, that this time it is really unimaginative. Mostly same gags and tricks.

Not too funny, but unfortunate that it survives in an incomplete, unrestored print.

Mostly bereft of truly inspired slapstick humor except for one particular sequence involving a riverboat propeller. Pretty downbeat too.
