I don't often care for the Horror Comedy genre, particularly when there is too much reliance on stupidity for humor. Dead and Breakfast is frequently stupid, but some of the jokes do rise above mere groaner status. Just not enough.

the kind of movie populated by recognizable faces, but nameless faces. that goes to show the quality of this movie...almost there. it has some unique ideas, and it is entertaining, watchable for any comedy/horror lover, especially during a drought of better quality movies.

If the blurbs on the box are mostly from horror movie websites, take a pass. The gore is decent, the laughs are forced, the scares are sparce, the songs are sub-free credit report commercial quality. If you haven't seen a zomcom before, you might not dislike it, but it's not that difficult to find better.

This zombie flick doesn't take itself very seriously until it comes time to sever a limb. The main characters are easily forgettable, but a couple of supporting roles will leave you muttering, "Say, wasn't that...?"

It goes for campy, not-taking-itself-remotely-serious humor but, for the most part, it just doesn't work. The majority of the time it tries so hard to try and force laughter that it forgets how to be funny. With that said there are some actually funny parts in the film, here and there, so it's not a total loss.

Plodding, incompetent filmmaking. Not even the decent collection of second-rate TV actors could save this. Tried way to hard to be a funny horror movie and in the end provided neither scares nor laughs.
