Charmlingly dated and predictable from having been ripped off innumerable times, perhaps moreso than any other horror movie. It's pretty much the be-all end-all of said genre anthology films, so the subsequent emulation is understable. It really is quite awesome. Myesh.

As usual with antologies the quality of the segments differs a lot and that makes it a very uneven film. It's still a quite charming film and the frame story is pretty cool. And of course, everyone should watch it at least for that last segment with Michael Redgrave as a ventriloquist for that story is truly awesome!

A horror film with a good story and a neat clever screenplay with sprinkled with good humor. An entertaining matinée to watch.

Horror anthology has some good bits. I'd love to have a mirror like that.

The granddaddy of the horror-anthology subgenre, and still one of the best of its kind

What a wonderful idea for a movie (imagine the concept of the diner scene in Mulholland Drive as a feature of its own). Unfortunately, while the other dreams are fine on there own, they do detract from what this movie could have been. Still - memorable camera work, [mostly] well-acted & one incredible ending. An important, early horror film.

Wherein we learn the source of that Twilight Zone ("Room for one more, honey"--actually I think it's a story by E F Benson)--and also the original musical setting of The Beatles' "Golden Slumbers."

Quite good and, except for the golf story, appropriately creepy. At times things don't really tie together and give the film a disjointed feel, but it's not a big deal and the ending is pretty nice.

Good horror anthology with interesting circular plot. Stories work because they relies of primal fears or genuinely creepy things, like what does dreaming same nightmare each night means, or ventriloquism. The story with puppet is my favorite.
