Aside from the fact that the acting was poor and the dialogue badly written, the message might have been tolerable (if not cliche) had the writer not used the raping-an-incapacitated-"dead"-woman metaphor. The only gratifying part was the woman getting loose and killing the men who had repeatedly raped her for the duration of the film.

Watched it in parts, couldn't really get into the story. I kept thinking this was an episode of Supernatural, with Rickie looking like Sam, and them both bitching at each other like the show. Interesting story, but not well executed and shitty acting.

A little necrophilia hasn't really hurt anyone now has it? A couple of funny lines sprinkled here and there, otherwise not a very good movie at all.

Most of this movie revolves around boys raping a zombie girl. Wtf, who came up with this?

Sooooo...this flick has zombie sex. And not the campy silly kind like in "Zombie Strippers". This is a filthy zombie girl chained to a bed and raped a bunch of times. The high school drama stuff framing it all is ridiculous, and nothing about the backstory is ever explained. The movie just hits you over the head with its premise pretty bluntly...again and again. The message: rape is bad. Uh yeah, thanks.

Yeah, pretty much just rape fantasy meets teen horror. Not diggin' it.

This is a shockingly simple / shockingly genius premise. Some highschool students find a naked girl bound in the back room of an abandoned asylum. She's not an ordinary dead girl though; she's sexy; and she's a zombie... This film is a horror, thriller, drama developed on this premise.

Did I like Deadgirl? Not really, no. It was too disturbing and it had actors who, for the most part, I couldn't stand. Did I still think it was a worthwhile viewing experience? Somewhat. Some of its points are incredibly valid, and with disturbing material comes memorability. Do I ever want to watch it again? Absolutely not. Seeing it once, and only once, is an idea that I can get behind.

this movie should not be this good..this movie is just so out there, that it will definately divide fans...I can see why people will hate this, but I dug it...

People seem to think Deadgirl is a stupid horror movie. Those people are mistaken. While about 20 dreadfully boring minutes pass by around a quarter through the film, the stuff that follows is simultaneously disgusting, hilarious, and frighteningly culturally relevant.

Bad directed, bad acted and the script was just awful. The premise was interesting, but guys using naked lady as a dead meat for sex. Not for my taste. There was just one good gas station scene with voluptuous lady. That was fun. Nothing more.

deadgirl is a tremendous little horror movie, treading shallow water never quite distinguishing it's self outright as a horror or an extremely morbid comedy. this is one of the first times that i was completely satisfied by a zombie movie with very few zombies and, for that matter, very little gore.

Even with the rape factor as a downside, this is a unsettling story. it's about what idiots would do if they discovered the first zombie of the infestation to come.

it was somewhat disgustingly compelling. It's an awful plot like in most horror movies these days, but at least it delivers the disgustingness from more than one angle. some inconsistencies left aside, this is horror enough to entertain.

Overall this movie isnt as bad as alot of people may lead you to believe. I found this movie very entertaining, though at a few scenes hard to watch. Its not necessarily a horror flick but, more like a dark comedy. If you can get past the obviously gruesome nature of the film it is definitely worth a watch.

Some of the acting is really bad and some of the later plot points are too ridiculous. But I think the script has something interesting to say about the psyche of the male adolescent outcast.

The movie itself is pretty bad, but I gotta say I actually enjoyed the watching experience... not really sure why. It's has a certain quality to it that is captivating.

Could have been good, but was not.

The central premise in the hands of a good filmmaker could've been an incredible film - as transgressive and smart as the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre - but this is just a wreck. Shoddily filmed (it's one of those ones where everything is zoomed in just a little too much for some half-ass queasy simulation of tension), poorly acted, plodding, and terribly written. Overall, just unforgivably lazy.

Bizarre flick about high school outcasts who find a single zombie in a locked room at the bottom of an abandoned mental hospital. The movie stretches credulity more than a few times with some pretty ridiculous dialogue, but the premise was weird enough to hold my interest through its 100-minute runtime.

Quite possibly the stupidest plot I've ever had to endure. The premise is interesting but the execution is downright horrible. I especially hated the conflicted teenager that the audience is supposed to empathise with. Only problem is, every decision he makes is so unbelievably stupid it's impossible to do so. Movie is a waste of time.

Not to be pretentious or anything, but I could make a better film than this.

The bravery of actress Jenny Spain to take the titular role is the sole virtue of this film - her jutting teeth, contorting ribcage and putrid skin blurring the lines of beauty and horror at an almost Cronenbergian level, twisted further by a feminist layer that damns young masculinity for rampant misogyny. Sadly however the rest of the film is a poorly written and middling horror drama that cannot support the central figure.

there can't possibly be a worse film than this

Much like Grimm Love, horror fans who can stomach the content should find a lot to admire in Deadgirl, which presents a near-perfect criticism of the adolescent boy's infinite capacity for selfish behavior through solid acting, daring and a sprinkling of dark humor.
