I still don't get what I watched

The story is awful, but the gore is good wholesome fun. Some of the ideas it addresses are interesting, but it deals with them so poorly I can't really give it much credit for them.

Craven boggles the mind with this piece of shit. The basketball scene might be the only competently-directed scene in the entire thing. The acting is shit (e.g. robot girl is more believable than abused girl) but that might have more to do with the script, which sucks my pooter. In the end, delivers the laughs. Recommended.

Pretty bad but thank God I finally saw this. I saw the very end of it on TV when I was a kid and it creeped me out and the ending theme music has been stuck in my head since then. I'd like to see the Mythbusters test out the basketball-throwing scene.

Decent idea rendered totally silly. Would you believe that one character gets her head crushed by a basketball?
