Underdeveloped cop b-movie with a strong social commentary against racism and 'political correctness' . Way too dull and slow to be enjoyable. Acting is truly bad even by b-movie standards. Towards the end movie picks up the pace with a long chase and shootout scene, but even that wasn't too fun. Soundtrack stands out in this otherwise poor movie. Tarantino is a big fan of this movie, but I don't share his sentiments.

Most. Underrated. Film. Ever. Sure, it's rough around the edges, and the only genuinely-delivered lines of dialogue by the bad actors all include the word, "honky". But the script is surprisingly adept in revealing social and racial wounds, and refusing to tie it all up in a neat, moral package at the end. The chase-and-shoot in the latter half ridiculously sucks, but is made up for by using red paint as blood.
