Only fans of the show can understand what's going on, being a fan myself, I loved every second of it.

I actually really liked this side story to the Dexter series. Then again, I was also extremely fanatic about this until they revamped it in the 2000s, so I could be highly biased.

I guess if you're a big Dexter fan, this movie is awesome. I'm not a huge fan, but it was quite entertaining. The muscular version is pretty neat

This series had some really great episodes, but this isn't one of them.

Occupying its own distinct world, Ego Trip doesn't expand upon the kid-friendly zaniness of its Cartoon Network source but continues in the same vein, thus ensuring both the ambivalence of the unfamiliar and the nostalgic enjoyment of the childhood-initiated. Exuding the same pop culture awareness as its show, this miniature movie revels in the simple pleasures of its overlapping narratives, unpretentiously pursuing a fairly common goal: pure, smarts-oriented entertainment.
