Summary: A badly maimed juvenile dolphin is given a new tail, and a new life, through the efforts of the humans who save it in this true-life adventure saga. After losing its tail to a crab trap, the dolphin is doomed until a young boy spots its plight.

Everything about this is sad. A boy without a father. A girl who's mom passed away. Great athlete goes to war and gets hurt. The dolphin loses it tail. The animal hospital has no money. A storm hits. But it has a happy ending.

I am a sucker for these movies and this one follows the formula exactly. Every character and every plot device is well thought out. It's almost too perfect (except maybe for the helicopter scene). You'll love this one or hate it with your guts.
