A really fun film that takes from so many tropes. The weirdest thing about it isn't its CG Yokai type stuff, but the fact that it's apparently based in the distant future yet everyone acts as if it's the Sengoku Jidai all over again (which makes sense if you understand that the original Tezuka manga was set in that era). The biggest problem with it is the common problem with a lot of Japanese action films in that its slow as molasses at times. Other than that, really enjoyable but cheesy fun.
A guy with SWORDS FOR ARMS embarks on a quest to defeat 48 demons, each of which possess a piece of his body. The effects range from great CGI to silly rubber monster suits, and everything in between. Just a ton of fun, if you're willing to forgive the effects not looking like LOTR.
