i am a fan of ms. farmiga and she doesn't dissapoint in this film as she gives a stirring portrayal of an addict trying to get her life togerther.......a strong supporting cast of interesting and believable characters is a big plus also.

Everything about this film is harsh, barren, and empty. Addiction's toll is highlighted in brutal tones, and Farmiga's Irene seems haunted by the life that she is living. The film focuses more on the broken lives than the bottom, and how drugs can can sap the vitality out of a person. The recovery that it does depict seems fleeting, and I was left with the profound impression that I was simply seeing another cycle in a long struggle that will never end.

Subtle, realistically-styled drama with a compelling performance by Vera Farmiga.

a little on the boring side, and not much at all like the summary makes it out to be...but a well-acted movie, even if it does drag.

A thematic trilogy that includes Clean and Pure, it strips away everything glamorous about addiction- no jump cuts, no cool hallucinatory visuals, it's all about the overcast gloom and sometimes but not always about the inability to pull yourself out of the abyss.

It feels like a student film. Vera Fermiga gives a great performance but there just wasn't enough here that I haven't seen in drug addict movies before. It drags a lot as well.

Pretty dull. Strong performance from Farmiga is almost worth it.
