I suspect those who want to see this will seek it out. I watched it because of the recommendations and didn't find it all that interesting or engrossing. Plus, Nathan Fillion and the girl outshined NPH and wasn't expecting that.

Despite the bigger "name" stars like Harris & Fillion, & getting better as it goes, this still plays like a throwaway lark. 1 imagines it was mainly inspired by Joss Whedon's desire 2 help his musically talented brother break in2 the biz. No doubt overrated b/c of its small scale, it's no surprise a musical comedy this generally light on laughs debuted on the internet. Song-wise, the solid, but mostly uninspired lyrics & almost entirely hook-free music won't leave u very much 2 sing along to.

Not bust a gut funny, but plenty of humor and some great songs.

Yes, it's smart, but it just starts to become grating. And it's only 45 minutes long.

Cute, short and surprisingly well done.

Joss Whedon is the master. NPH makes this film awesome. His singning voice is phenomenal as well as his performance. Such a simple idea, yet Whedon executes it so well you will be loving this film within 5 seconds of it starting. It is not surprising with this cast how awesome this movie is. The acting is top notch, seriously one of the better projects I have seen.

The nonsense is great. Short, fun and Legen... wait fot it... dary! And I really think that the credits goes to Harris.

It's clear that Joss Whedon had a lot of fun with this. The ideas are brilliant and although the storyline strays into predictable Joss territory the dialogue and the music is consistently enjoyable. And anything that involves Nathan Fillion and NPH playing superhero/villains who sing is legally obliged to be awesome.

A good idea but doesn't measure up to expectations of an avant-garde villian-as-the-good-guy plot.

The songs are infectious, and further proves that Neil Patrick Harris should be a superstar. Begs for a sequel in some form.

This is more fun than Heroes,Kick Ass,Hancock and all the new age superhero decomposition crap combined, yet it's so simple.

A fun witty musical with good acting, a good script and good but occasionally annoying songs. I don't seem to like films that sponataneously burst into song, however. It spoils the flow. Entertaining, yes; mind-blowingly brilliant I'm going to give it a Tier 10, no.

Whedon (well, several Whedons), NPH, Captain Tight Pants! I had extremely high expectations and it came just a tad below. The only bad thing is that it's short, I want more!

Innovating

Love everything about this. The music, the characters, the act structure - which is actually more logical and well-constructed than first appears. A very original concept for a movie and a great job from Whedon.

It was a short and delightful I guess, though not anywhere near as funny as people are making it out to be.

Fun, hilarious, and smarter than it ought to be.

I really wanted more from this it was just too short. The movie is worth watching and is hilarious. My man crush on NPH grows by the day.

I should probably admit I hate all musicals and I'll probably never find an exception to this.
