I was disappointed; there are a few genuinely funny scenes, and I like how some of it is reminiscent of the 1931 version, but none of that is enough to save it from being, in my opinion, tiresome, usually unfunny, and lackluster.

How can a pairing of Mel Brooks and Leslie Nielsen possibly go wrong?! Sadly, the individual jokes are mostly hokey, predictable fare, and most of the secondary characters disappoint, especially Renfield, who should have been absolutely hysterical, but was less humorous than the version in the original "Dracula" with Lugosi. It still has some funny morsels of humor here and there, but the script is awful, and they just can't draw much humor out of it. Mediocre.
