An amusing play on Western conventions, I just wish it had more energy.

This is one of, if not my all time favourite Looney Tunes cartoon.

I always hated Porky Pig and his annoying-as-shit stutter, and he's awful here as Daffy's sidekick, particularly in the beginning. Getting past that, there are a lot of hilarious Western-themed gags; they take full advantage of the setting. Nasty Canasta is also funny as the grim antagonist. Pretty entertaining, although it would have been even better with a different "comedy relief" than the humorless, spitting piece of bacon.

One of the best Daffy Duck shorts ever.
