Certainly one of the better Seagal DTV releases though this has the simple revenge plot at its centre it has enough interesting quirks to make it stand out from the crowd, and in a good way. The storyline has enough ingredients to keep it interesting and even some of the secondary characters have more than the usual 2 dimensions. Overall a worthy effort against a background of some very mediocre (and sometimes poor) efforts from Seagal over the last few years.

The poor man's Taken, if he's deaf. Terrible dialogue and equal accents. At first I thought Steven Seagal's character was in the Irish mob from the accent of his growls, until he started peppering his speech with words subtitled as "speaks Russian" Although the fight scenes were good, especially compared to some Seagal movies I have seen, but it's not enough to make this movie worth your time.

Steven Seagal as a writer with a Russian accent doesn't make sense, but the pace is fast and a lot of the action scenes are somewhat inventive and brutal. Seagel even seems to performing some of the moves himself for a change and sometimes he is even close to being cool. Could be his best since Exit Wounds.

This is gonna be another of my guilty pleasures, but this flick had a legit 80-plus rating from me in the first five minutes (because of the "spike trick" scene). What I love about ol' Stevie is that he always has the same look on his face no matter what's going on. He goes from writing a book, to seeing his ex-wife dead and his daughter almost so, to beating on people, to GETTING beaten on, all with the same look. But try telling him to change it. I dare you. "The trick is, to not give a fuck."

Yeah, it's Seagal. It was a good time and the last death in the movie was awesome. There are some badass lines in here and the action is usually pretty fun.

This was one of segals better movies that he has done in awhile. The movie kinda starts off slowly but then it starts to get into the action. Despite the bad Russian accents. Plus some hot strippers and the last death was great.
