I JUST WANNA PLAY XBOX!

I just saw this little movie from Mexico. It's black and white and I would estimate the budget at around 10 grand. Not much happens during the movie as it deals with 4 people in an apartment during one Sunday. I guess the main subject is growing up... But it's a really touching and a very, very funny movie.

Told in vignettes that gradually reveal the frustrations and longing of urban youths but little else, the mildly humorous Duck Season lays out a basic model for director Eimbcke's profound Lake Tahoe without nearly matching that film's expressiveness and compassion. Rather, it's somewhat detached and, contrary to what some might think, the black-and-white cinematography only limits its potential for resonance.

Ever wondered what would happen if Jarmusch directed Home Alone? Very similar to 25 Watts or Glue but not nearly as good...
