Anyone who is a fan of Dylan Moran's boozy, angry rants from the Black Books TV series will be right at home with his stand-up work. His material covers a lot of the usual stand up comedy tropes, but his delivery is fantastic and wickedly funny.

Nobody owns the premature curmudgeon character quite as well as Dylan Moran. I also admire his stage craft, he strings together barbed observations as masterfully as Rodney Dangerfield did jokes, given the illusion of one long sustained rant rather than a series of pre-written bits most years old some new. A very fun comedian to watch work.

The delivery is spot-on, the jokes come thick and fast, and the balance between the wittiness of the humour and Moran's Irish drawl makes it pretty much a perfect piece of stand up.
