I'll be damned. I hate most Looney Tunes, but this is actually very charming: a sweet little love story instead of folks trying to kill each other (for a refreshing change), done in a very unusual style for a Looney Tune and with plenty of funny references to the pop culture of the day... and all narrated by Blanc, who actually appears onscreen for once in his life (and who turns out to have a great face for radio). What a shame that no one alludes to _Uncle Tom's Cabin_ anymore
