I'll freely admit that the high rating is primarily based on how original, raunchy, and clever it seemed when I first saw it at age 14. But even now I find it entertaining; full of surrealistic cut-aways and cheesy but highly amusing philosophy 101 ruminations on the natures of life, love, and most particularly sex. It's cheerfully vulgar, makes clever use of a single location, and has a memorable and entertaining cast of characters. Solid teen film.
