Summary: Uncle Rollo finally retires to the house he was brought up in. Lost in thoughts of his lost love, Lark, he does not want to be disturbed in his last days. However, the appearance of his niece and the subsequent romance between her and Lark's nephew causes him to reevaluate his life and offer some advice so the young couple don't make the same mistake he did, all those years ago. The lovely script and cast really elevate this classic melodrama far above standard. Of course, there are still a few of those gag moments, but they fit nicely with the theme of lost love. In the end I'd say it was a rather cute and charming, if somewhat sad, film told with a bittersweet and graceful melacholy. Also, the way Reis utilized the numerous flashbacks truly was enchanting (clever title reference ;). P.S: I'd like to nominate Selina for biggest bitch in movie history. Man what a jerk.
