Summary: Lathika's (Suhasini) happy life is shattered after she is raped by her best friend Nisha's (Sabitha Anand) brother, widower Arjunan (Mammootty), in a weak moment. After she gets pregnant in the encounter & her arranged marriage to her cousin/boyfriend Sreekumar (Nahas) is called off, she leaves the village with her kid & finds a job in the city, but to her dismay, her new boss turns out to be Arjunan.
