Summary: After his wife Indu died, well-off bank officer Vishwanathan (Jayaram) marries Meera (Jyothirmayi), who started considering Vishwanathan's son Vasu (Kalidasan) as her own. However, when Meera bears a son of her own, Appu, 9-year old Vasu feels his parents' love for him was eroding & in a fit of rage, he ends up killing Appu by mistake. SI Chandran (Shammi Thilakan), a tough inflexible cop, corners Vasu & brings the law on him. Although Vishwanathan & Meera forgives Vasu, the law doesn't let go. (by iceblox)
