Innocuous small-town 1890s comedy with a race climax. Quite pleasant.

Further evidence that mere age on a movie doesn't make it a classic. Red Skelton is much more of an actor than Eddie Murphy or Adam Sandler, but he's quite not funny. The musical interludes (especially one surprisingly sexy bit) are the only real virtue here
