The same as any argument based on Creation. "If you can't perfectly explain every little detail of evolution, then clearly the most logical answer is the argument with no evidence whatsover".

The very existence of someone like Ben Stein is proof that "intelligent design" could not have been invested in this world, but there is at least a trace of cunning in the lies told here (after all, this is a guy who once wrote speeches for Nixon). Religious dogma knows that it has been beaten by science, so with no hope of competing against it, it now masquerades as its reviled enemy. But Stein was not "expelled" for trying to pass a creation myth for scientific theory. He simply flunked.

This was a poorly executed and flawed documentary. The way that the interviews were done, the images used and Ben Stein's condescending presentation all made this an annoying film. There's no compelling argument to sway you to change any opinions you have one way or the other.

Ben Stein's "documentary" is beyond moronic. It's very apt that he's dressed as a schoolboy on the front, since it reflects his mental age perfectly. The level of intellectual dishonesty is baffling, and anyone who has bought into it when so much evidenced debunking exists all over the internet is clearly intellectually lazy, or is as much of, or more of, an idiot as Stein.

"For a film about American freedom of expression and the necessity for open dialogue, it's hard to imagine Expelled: No Intelligence Allowed being more one-sided, narrow-minded, and intellectually dishonest." - Nick Schager

I read this on another person's review it said "- The same as any argument based on Creation. "If you can't perfectly explain every little detail of evolution, then clearly the most logical answer is the argument with no evidence whatsover". - Of course the reality is just the opposite, because they can't believe in the faith of Creation, humans complete make up a little thing called Evilotion. With absolutely no proof. It's a shame to see so many fooled by Darwin. One Day they will see.

Real Score -10. It is onesided and manipulative. One of the most unprofessional attempts at a documentary I have ever seen. Problems? too many: http://www.scientificamerican.com/article.cfm?id=ben-steins-expelled-review-john-rennie

It's obviously intellectually dishonest, but in addition it's poorly edited and paced and just badly made overall. Nowhere near as entertaining as it could and should have been. It's one of those movies that I wanted to see in order to make fun of it, but it's just such a boring turd that even that small bit of pleasure was largely denied to me.

"Expelled" does absolutely zilch for explaining the evidence of intelligent design, rather bares loose-ends of evolution and political shunning of opposing ideas. The doc showcases the surface of a debate, and it's an important one and daringly brings light to a touchy subject that goes brushed over in the school systems. Theories are theories and don't need to be taught as truths. Aside from the over-saturating Holocaust imagery, "Expelled" succeeds at shedding some light on a blinded topic.

I wish this excuse for a documentary was decent cinemamaking at least. Ben Stein with his low intelligence cynicism could have read how probability works before. Watching it with the knowledge official website of Dawkins (one of the most popular evolution scientists of the era) is banned from reach in Turkey is ironic, perhaps frightful.

PROPAGANDA anyone? This is one of the most biased films I've ever watched. Not a Doc, it's just manipulative ID propaganda. Very upsetting parallels drawn between Nazi's idealism and evolutionary science. They attack "Darwinism" as if it's some kind of ruling law of the science community. If they did further research into CURRENT theory they would realize how far evolutionary science has come. Watch this film if you need a reason to dislike Ben Stein.

Whether or not you believe in intelligent design, people who bash this movie are missing the point that this was made. Why is it that scientists who even mention intelligent design lose their jobs? People that are at the top of their chosen fields losing their jobs because they might want to challenge something. Many people think that proponents of intelligent design looked unintelligent, I also believe that Darwinists didn't look all that good as well. The Micheal Moore school of filmmaking

This is not a great film, but I feel much of the criticism comes from those who misanticipated its purpose: to point out smart people who are shunned in academia for little more than examining the possibility of life being more than an accident. Much too subtly, it also tried to point out that a Designer does not have to be God as the Christians understand Him.

Complete with an utterly irrelevant aside concerning the holocaust, Expelled approaches the viewer with a dumfounding disregard for the scientific method and blatantly fails at its primary goal: to establish ID as a valid scientific teaching. Instead of trying to bolster ID, this entire film is devoted to taking shots at evolutionary thought, though most of the time all it surmounts to is a, "Hey I don't understand this, but it sounds funny, so it must be wrong!" This documentary was horrific.
