While this film had no real film-making talent behind it, I still found it to be interesting. It provoked some thoughts in my mind that most people have a hard time bringing out (and for good reason!) in everyday life. Lets face it, there's something inside us all that causes us to look when we see a traffic accident or a horrific bloodbath. In that aspect this movie serves its purpose. Although the moral fags may have a tough time with this, it ended up being worth a watch or two.

Hilarious pure exploitation. Since the director couldn't make a snuff film they did the next best thing and made a phony voyeuristic exploitation flick poorly disguised as a documentary. The narrator is amusing mostly because of his deadpan monotone voice and his silly 70's look. Anyways, most of the "deaths" are humorously staged. This is more or less just a trashy curiosity for those with morbid tastes.

Sadly this isn''t the worst movie I've ever seen, but its pretty damn close. Just horrible, utter garbage. The fact that this is called a documentary is an insult to documentaries.

Pointless and boring.

I was surprised to discover that environmentalism and animal rights are big topics in this 'documentary'. PETA uses same awareness raising techniques these days too. For me animal killing scenes were the hardest to get through, but after that it gets pointless, with the exception of anti-death penalty bit. Overall it's not as bad as I expected, but nothing I would like to see again.

One cannot enjoy the "Faces of Death" series like you could other extreme horrors, that is to say that it is impossible to enjoy on any level.

my stomach felt a bit uneasy, and even though now I know most of it is staged, it doesn't seem far from the truth. the ending was terrible though.

Pretty much a lamer version of Banned from Television. Also, what's up with the music in this???

This is shocking true life. Reality show before Survivor, That's Incredible or Ripley's.

The beginning of the wanna-be reality trend..the thin line between snuff, reality and fake situations. Some snippets are real others ( the most of it ) are faked especially in the sequels. Faces of Death isn´t shocking or cool just 90 mins of bullshit. better watch the guinea parts...

This represent in part of what is or what really happens in real life ( some of the scenes are fake though but still all that presented the movie is already being practiced in some parts of the world), it's not the greatest of a movie and it eventually gets more and more boring but I'd recommend watching it not for it's gore content but to see a world on a reality perspective and to see some part of what mainstream media doesn't show you. of course if you have a weak stomach then don't watch it.
